Hello, and thanks for reading my profile. I’m active, easy-going and usually up for trying something new. I enjoy country walks, road trips, cycling, music, travel, reading and finding good places to eat. I sail occasionally and would be happy to share it with someone who is interested, but it certainly isn’t essential. I prefer a country pub to a smart hotel, rock music to classical, pool to football, and relaxed evenings with friends. I can dress up when needed, but I’m most comfortable in jeans.

I enjoy simple things, especially with good company: a walk and lunch in a cosy pub, live music, dinner and conversation, or a film at home. I like having a plan, while leaving room for a little spontaneity.

I’m mostly retired and would like to meet someone for a close, caring relationship. I hope to find someone warm, affectionate and reasonably active. If things develop naturally, it would be lovely to build a life together and enjoy both everyday moments and new adventures.

My Love of Music

I mainly listen to rock, pop and blues, though I’m happy to try other music. I make playlists and sometimes sing in the car—badly enough to stop when asked. Music is an important part of my life; live music I adore.

My Ideal Partner

I’d like to meet someone kind, honest and affectionate, with similar values and perhaps a few shared interests. A sense of humour would be welcome. I value loyalty, kindness and a genuine partnership. For me, connection matters far more than status or career. I tend to have traditional values, and my politics are slightly right of centre.

Lifestyle

I try to live honestly and treat people well. I enjoy active days, but I’m equally happy with a quiet morning or an ordinary day at home. I’d like to meet someone who is open about how she feels and can enjoy both simple routines and the occasional adventure.

Sailing - Only if you Fancy it

I sail from time to time, but it isn’t something a partner would need to share. If you were curious, I’d be happy to help you try it at your own pace. If not, there are plenty of other things we could enjoy together.

Road Trips

I enjoy getting in the car and exploring somewhere new, often with music playing. Coastal roads and quiet countryside are favourites, and an occasional wrong turn can be part of the fun. It would be nice to share the journey, the conversation and perhaps a sunset at the end of the day.

Staying Active

I try to stay active and healthy so I can enjoy walks, trips and everyday life. I’d like to meet someone who also enjoys being active, without taking it too seriously.

Family

Family is important to me, and I enjoy Sunday dinners and quiet time together. I have an 18-year-old son studying engineering at university and a 15-year-old daughter, who stays with me every other week. My arrangements are flexible when I travel.

Friends and Good Company

I enjoy spending time with friends and meeting people. I’m also fond of sitting outside a café and watching the world go by. I try to make people feel welcome, though a quick message before visiting is always appreciated.
